This is all the brain-child of a 51-year-old father of two adolescent boys who recently moved into West Hartford, CT from Minnesota, by way of Northern California, and initially Boston, MA. A writer and video producer by trade, this father is also a Master's Degree candidate at UCONN's Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) program focusing on Parenthood and Parent-child relations.
This isn't just going to be another parent / daddy-blogger's view of parenthood. There's going to be substance behind what we're doing, but that doesn't mean we can't have a good time doing it!
So join us for a glass of wine during a happy-hour meet-and-greet followed by an entertaining interview with a local parenting expert. Seriously, light-hearted talk about parenting.
This speaker series will occur on average once every other week starting Thursday, May 18 from 6PM to 8PM. Bar Louie in Blue Back Square, West Hartford, CT is hosting the first events, allowing us to piggy back on their happy hour.
The interview is an informal interview conducted by RJ Lavallee, the aforementioned 51-year-old father, who poses the initial questions and then moderates additional questions from people at the event. The interview portion is filmed and then released on YouTube, Facebook, and as an associated podcast a few days after the event.
Join us for some wining!
